Some people call me an OG of wedding business marketing, but deep down I'm just another person wearing PJ bottoms on Zoom. I swear a lot, I share my struggles, and I don't pretend to be better than anyone else.
I talk to a lot of people who ask me questions like “How do I book more weddings?” as if that is something I can answer in one sentence. When I’m asked that question I really don’t even know where to start. It’s like asking “How do I make money?”, it’s so vague and broad. I know why people ask that question though – they want a magic pill. We all like to think there is a magic pill, a quick fix, an easy button that we can push and magically get the results we want. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there is no magic pill.
The way you book more weddings is through strategic marketing and sales but I know that isn’t the answer they want. It’s not easy. If it were easy, everyone would start their own business. It is SO much easier to clock in and out at set hours and know you’re getting a pay check from someone. Entrepreneurship is not easy. It is worth it though to have the freedom to control your own life and do the work you love. So would you rather have it easier or have freedom?
Perhaps it’s easier to answer “How do I book more weddings?” by telling you how NOT to book more weddings.
But you are on this site and that means you are looking to do something different. You know what you’ve tried isn’t cutting it and you have to find out what works. I can show you exactly what works but are you up for the challenge of learning it and putting it in place?
