Some people call me an OG of wedding business marketing, but deep down I'm just another person wearing PJ bottoms on Zoom. I swear a lot, I share my struggles, and I don't pretend to be better than anyone else.
Welcome back to this special trilogy of podcast episodes dedicated to helping you book more weddings! This is episode #3 and the final episode in the series. If you missed the first episode of this series, head over to evolveyourweddingbusiness.com/34 to listen to that and you can catch up on the second episode at evolveyourweddingbusiness.com/35
In the last episode I asked you to write down your long-term big audacious pie in the sky vision for your business and today I want to show you that it is possible for you to reach that goal. I told you about Jaclyn who went from ready to close her business to running a thriving business that she loves. Today I want to tell you Michelle.
Be sure you click the podcast player above to hear how Michelle was able to bypass so many of the hurdles we face in the beginning stages of our business by taking a shortcut. You’ll also get answers to the most asked questions in this series and find out about some exciting things coming up! Because Michelle joined Book More Weddings Academy when her business was only 4 months old, I asked if she thought there was anything that newbies should know about it. She said, “It starts basic and then builds from there so I don’t think that anyone needs to have anything in particular in place before you start the program. I came into it with my 4 months of having no idea what I was doing and I was able to make it manageable and run with it. I know exactly who I’m marketing to, what I need to do and why I’m doing it.” I share that with you because I want you to know that even if you have just started your business, you can accelerate your growth and avoid all those mistakes that come along the way by taking the shortcut. If you signed up at bookmoreweddingsacademy.com and you’re getting these episodes delivered to your inbox, you’ll get a VIP webinar invitation very soon. Hi, I’d have to say I am an “inbetween” in that I have had my business for almost 3 years but I feel its still new as I have only had 2 clients. My biggest challenge is finding clients/having them contact me/getting hired. I need to overcome this challenge or there is no reason to stay open!
I can totally understand that – have you had a chance to watch the Book More Weddings Webinar? https://evolveyourweddingbusiness.leadpages.net/sept-16th-live-webinar-page/
Hi Heidi, I’m new to the wedding business (only three months yet). I think my biggest challenge is getting people excited about my service, most Irish couples want & prefer to plan their own wedding.
It would be wonderful to have couples excited about my service because I would spend less time trying to get across what I actually do, which is help.
I think a lot of new planners face that, I know Michelle did.
