Some people call me an OG of wedding business marketing, but deep down I'm just another person wearing PJ bottoms on Zoom. I swear a lot, I share my struggles, and I don't pretend to be better than anyone else.

Google Analytics is an incredibly powerful tool and it’s free. Google Analytics can tell you what keywords people are searching for to find you, what sites are driving traffic to you and what people are doing once they get to your site. This information can help you figure out where to focus your marketing. For instance, if you get most of your visitors from Facebook, spend more time there and less time on other social networks.
If you haven’t installed Google Analytics, do it today. I’m serious, it’s that important. Liz Lockard wrote a great guide to installing Google Analytics on any and every website. The sooner you install it, the sooner you’ll start getting priceless insights.
Already have Google Analytics installed? Take a look the sites that are sending you traffic. The owners of these sites are the kind of people you want to develop relationships with, so add them to your “Outreach” list that we went over in this post.
I can personally recommend Liz Lockard’s free Google Analytics Quick Start Email Course if you want to learn how to make better use of Google Analytics. I’m good at using this tool, but Liz is truly the Google Analytics queen.
So get Google Analytics set up on your site. Right now. If you’ve already got it installed, go dig into that data!
