Some people call me an OG of wedding business marketing, but deep down I'm just another person wearing PJ bottoms on Zoom. I swear a lot, I share my struggles, and I don't pretend to be better than anyone else.
Why do so many wedding business goals fail before the year even gets started?
It’s not because you’re unmotivated or lazy—it’s because most wedding pros skip a crucial step in the goal-setting process. Without it, even the best goals are almost guaranteed to fail.
In this episode, I’m diving into the real reason most wedding business goals fall flat and sharing exactly how you can turn that around for 2025. You’ll learn how to break big goals into actionable steps, focus on what actually moves the needle, and avoid the overwhelm that derails so many good intentions.
Plus, I’ll show you how to join me for just $1 inside The Wedding Business Collective, where you’ll get access to our live Quarterly Planning Session and create a 90-day plan that’s designed to work. (Along with a ton of bonuses that ensure your success.)
If you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and finally make real progress, this episode is for you. Let’s dive in!
Every January, wedding pros everywhere set ambitious goals. But by February—or maybe even sooner—those goals often feel out of reach. Sound familiar?
Here’s the thing: It’s not because you’re lazy or unmotivated. It’s because most of us skip one critical step when setting goals—and without it, those goals are almost guaranteed to fail.
Today, I’m diving into the real reason most goals don’t stick, what you need to do differently, and how you can finally create a plan that doesn’t just look good on paper but actually works.
Plus, I’ll tell you how you can join me for just $1 inside The Wedding Business Collective to attend our Quarterly Planning Session and get your first plan in place, so 2025 doesn’t become another year of ‘almosts’ and ‘what ifs.’ Let’s do this!
Let’s be honest: setting a goal is easy. Turning it into a reality? Not so much. The problem isn’t that your goals are too big or unrealistic—it’s that most wedding pros never build the system they need to reach them.
Think about it: You set a goal to book more weddings, but then you spend months bouncing between social media posts, updating your website, or running ads—without knowing if those actions are actually getting you closer to your goal.
The truth is, it’s easy to confuse being busy with making progress. Without a clear plan, you’re just guessing at what might work. And that leads to overwhelm, frustration, and—eventually—giving up.
I see this A LOT and you don’t have to run your wedding business this way.
Here’s the fix: Instead of setting a big goal and hoping you’ll figure it out, you need a roadmap. A step-by-step plan that shows you exactly what to do each week to move closer to your goal.
This is where my 90-Day Planning Method comes in. It’s all about breaking your big goals into smaller, actionable steps that fit your time, energy, and resources.
Let’s say your goal is to book 20% more weddings in the next year. If you want to reach your goals, you can’t just focus on the goal. You’re not in control of how many people decide to book you. You’re not in control of increasing that by 20%.
So you have to focus on the steps you do control so you can take those and make reaching your goal inevitable. We do that in your 90-day plan.
Instead of just writing that “book 20% more weddings goal” down and hoping for the best, your 90-day plan might include:
Then, you break those down even further: What needs to happen in the first 30 days? What can you realistically do next week? By Friday?
We turn this into an action so you know EXACTLY what you need to do and when in order to reach your goals. No guessing, no hoping, no focusing on things that don’t actually get you closer to your goals.
The steps in your 90-day plan become your most important tasks. Everything else is optional. That results in a lot less stress and overwhelm because you’re being VERY intentional about your actions.
This method does three things:
Here’s the thing: If you want to make real progress in 2025, now is the time to start. Waiting until March, June, or September to try to pick up the slack means you’re losing valuable time—and staying stuck in the cycle of guesswork and stress.
