Some people call me an OG of wedding business marketing, but deep down I'm just another person wearing PJ bottoms on Zoom. I swear a lot, I share my struggles, and I don't pretend to be better than anyone else.
I know that you want to create more time for your personal life and family and get your business and marketing under control.
Sometimes it can feel a little unwieldy like it’s your business that’s controlling you and not the other way around.
I know that you are looking to have a wedding business where you really can get more time for your life and your family. That’s the thing everyone talks about mattering most in the end. No one is on their deathbed wishing they spent more time at work.
The most important thing is your life and your family and unfortunately, there are a lot of wedding professionals out there who end up working themselves to the bone, because they have tried everything and they cannot seem to find the time and they think it’s this elusive thing that they can’t get a hold over.
And this is why I want to come to you today to show you what your wedding business can look like with just a few simple tweaks. The first thing you need to do is start quitting.
Want to know why successful wedding pros are quitters? Listen to this episode to find out!

So I know if you’re someone who wants more freedom and flexibility like I do, you’re in the right place.
You know, when I was young, I dreamed of getting out of high school. I had the WORST case of senioritis because all I wanted was freedom. I couldn’t wait to get out of my mom’s house and be on my own in college.
And this is the number one quality wedding pros want – freedom and flexibility.
But for most wedding pros it can feel like you’re forever stuck in 6th grade and that graduation day is never going to come and you’re never going to have the freedom you want. It’s always out of reach.
And the businesses we created to create more freedom in our lives actually become like a chain to us. Instead of getting freedom & flexibility, we get shackled by the business that we created.
I know one of my clients, Neal felt this way. He’s a DJ with decades of experience and in the beginning, he really wanted to leave his day job to go full-time as a DJ. He finally did it after working toward it for years and he found that he had built this business where he has to wear all the hats and work until 3 am every Friday & Saturday.
Or you might be like my client, Costanza, a wedding planner in Italy who wanted more peace and time to spend on her hobbies but she was spending her days completely frazzled. She couldn’t get any work done because she was jumping from thing to thing in a blur. Should I respond to this client right now or later? Should I do an Instagram Reel? Should I write a blog post? Should I go and meet with this networking group?
There are so many things that happen as a business owner that make you feel shackled. You don’t even just feel shackled by your schedule. Now all of a sudden, your mind is shackled. You’re waking up at 3 am worried about how the hell am I going to land my next client?
So let’s talk about what most people are missing here when they want more freedom and flexibility. Because I know you want more peace. You want to create that personal time.
You want to be able to go on vacations, and you want to be able to pick up your daughter from school and not feel like you need to be looking at your phone the whole time.
What most people need to do is figure how what they need to quit. There are actually things you should be quitting in your business and I’m going to give you a formula so you know what you need to quit.
I know you’re going to think that you can’t quit anything. I bet you that’s a thought that you popped in mind, I bet you you’re thinking that you need to be doing everything in your business.
And I do think there are some things that you need to be doing in your business, but I’m going to show you actually what you can quit.
And I know this works because my client Kerri started doing this and she went from feeling totally overwhelmed and frazzled to having a realistic plan to reach her goals without overwhelming her.
It also worked for Killian, a wedding planner who realized she was being reactive and spent her days reacting to what came into her inbox. Now, she has a path and a process she uses to make sure she’s working on the most important things that will help her reach her goals.
And it worked for Carolyn, a floral designer who didn’t realize just how much time she was wasting doing things that needed to be done like cleaning out buckets, but probably aren’t the best use of the CEO’s time. She realized that 90% of what she was doing was inefficient or low value, or sometimes not even necessary.
She has since quit many of those things and streamlined her business so it’s easy to attract and book clients for a service with a $12,000 minimum. She finally feels like her business is under control as opposed to pulling her around in a million directions.
And Neal and Costanza that I mentioned earlier found a lot of success with this as well. Neal now has the freedom to focus on other aspects of the company, as well as let his team do multiple events in a day resulting in more revenue. He’s able to function more as the CEO of the business and not the sole person wearing all of the hats.
Costanza has a much more balanced life without the feelings of dread she had before. She has focus and she’s working less in both of her businesses and has been able to devote more of her time to her hobbies.
This process works and I want to walk you through the same process these clients went through. That’s why next week during The Out of Overwhelm Challenge: Reclaim 5+ Hours Per Week the first thing we’re going to focus on is what you can take off of your plate entirely. Just plain quit.
And you’re not going to have to figure this out alien because that is HARD. You’re going to have support and you’re going to have me in your corner helping you make this happen.
