Some people call me an OG of wedding business marketing, but deep down I'm just another person wearing PJ bottoms on Zoom. I swear a lot, I share my struggles, and I don't pretend to be better than anyone else.
In this Member Makeover I review www.poppiesweddingandevents.com.au. Natalie Hill said she has 3 main ideal clients:
“1. Late 20’s to mid 30’s, time poor, up and coming young women, these would be the bread and butter.
2. The quirky not the norm those that don’t want the normal bridal look, I know quite a few of these type and understand them as I use to play roller derby.
3. the older second (3rd etc.) time round bride, those that may have kids and careers and are too busy to organise but that want something different and unique to the traditional one they had the first time round. I’m not young and I think these brides would be more comfortable with someone with life experience.”

Hey Heidi, I think I typed the email wrong it should have .au on the end. Thanks for the awesome advice. I had a copy writer do the first web copy, I have been slowing turning it more “into me” and I love your ideas. And I’ll definately look at the pronoun thing. The Scenerio’s are actually packages for the “Something in between” But I can see how it maybe isnt so clear. With the packages I do have starting from prices perhaps I could put them up there but I still need to think that through. The having of testimonials sounds great, but as a new business I have only actaully had one wedding so far. I have others booked. I like the idea of linking to the events and parties sections thanks. No email list yet, thats next I’ve been looking at how to do that and build one. And thanks I wrote the blogs myself. So I guess they do reflect me more. Definately will change the words to What do you need. Funny the message you get from the word submit, it is a very common term here in Aus. I did feature Chloe and Peter in a blog so I will add one of those photos to the testimonials. And thanks for all the tips and links above as well. I will have to try and figure out how to fix those load issues. Great to have feedback.
I’m so happy you found the advice useful! It’s totally fine to be new and not have tons of testimonials yet but that testimonial template I linked to is going to make them sing when you do get them and you could even go back and send those questions to the first couple you had.
